Clinical Senior Lecturer in Early Detection & Intervention (IoPPN)

Dr Tom Spencer is Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Department of Psychosis Studies, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience and Consultant Psychiatrist at the OASIS prodromal service, SLaM NHS Foundation Trust. His research uses neuroimaging and pharmacological experiments to explore how psychotic symptoms may be related to changes in basic cognitive processes such as learning, memory and reward processing. He is also interested in thought disorder and novel treatments for those at risk of developing psychosis, and is involved in several therapeutic trials.
